Over 40 years ago , Dean’s Stove & Spa was established by Dean Michanczyk in Plantsville, Connecticut. Dean started with 100 sq ft and set out to offer his customers the most durable and energy efficient fireplaces on the market. Visitors to Dean’s appreciated the expertise, time spent with knowledgeable staff, and the ability to see numerous products ‘in action.’ Years later Dean purchased the old Five Star factory and turned the old historic building into what is now the House Of Fire, the largest hearth showroom on the east coast. In 2015, Dean’s Stove & Spa was named the 2015 Hearth Retailer of the Year from Hearth & Home Magazine. Now, with over 50,000 sq ft, we have remained steadfast in offering our customers the highest quality merchandise, a fully knowledgeable staff that will spend the time you need to choose the perfect product for your home, in addition to stellar installation and service.
In New England, you are hard pressed to find folks that don’t adore the outdoors, especially in warmer months. Being a typical New Englander himself, Dean set forth to expand his inventory to include new lines of quality outdoor products – seeking longevity, quality and style. With a love for grilling, campfires, and relaxation, Dean’s Stove & Spa now brings you a full line of the best, durable and stylish spas built in America, specialty grills, smokers, pizza ovens, outdoor fire tables imported direct from Italy, and patio furniture. Our building encompasses several product showrooms and warehouses. Not only can you find us in Plantsville, CT, but now we also have a second location in the Pine Meadows section of New Hartford, CT!

Dean’s also offers year round service to help maintain your hearth or spa product; big box stores can offer cheap prices but not quality product or service.
